CliftonStrengths® Resources
Explore the 34 Themes of Strength
CliftonStrengths gives us a language for understanding the natural patterns behind how people think, feel, and behave. But a theme name is only the beginning.
These 34 theme resources combine insights from Gallup with what we have learned through decades of conversations with people, leaders, teams, and organizations around the world.
What We’ve Learned
More Than a Definition
Our understanding of Strengths has been shaped by thousands of real conversations about how these themes actually show up in people’s work, relationships, leadership, and lives.

The 34 Themes
Explore Your Strengths
The 34 CliftonStrengths themes are grouped into four domains that describe some of the ways people contribute to individuals, teams, and organizations.
Executing
These themes help turn ideas into action. They often bring energy, structure, consistency, responsibility, and momentum to the work that needs to get done.
Influencing
These themes help people speak up, take charge, generate momentum, reach broader audiences, and bring others toward an idea or direction.
Relationship Building
These themes often notice and strengthen the human connections that help groups become more cohesive, connected, supported, and committed to one another.
Strategic Thinking
These themes help people analyze information, imagine possibilities, recognize patterns, learn, generate ideas, and consider where to go next.
Go Beyond Your Top 5
Your Strengths Don’t Work Alone
Each theme gives you useful language for understanding a part of yourself. The deeper work comes from noticing how your themes interact with one another and how those patterns affect the people around you.
01
Start With Your Themes
Read the descriptions of your dominant themes and notice the behaviors, motivations, and patterns that sound most like you.
02
Look for Combinations
Consider how your themes amplify, temper, complement, or sometimes compete with one another in different situations.
03
Make It Relational
Use what you learn to help other people better understand how you communicate, contribute, make decisions, and work with others.
The Work Goes Deeper
Strengths Are a Starting Point, Not the Destination
Knowing your Strengths can create powerful self-awareness. But teams don’t become healthier simply because everyone knows their Top 5.
We help leaders and teams turn greater understanding into stronger clarity, alignment, resilience, and engagement—so people can better understand themselves, one another, and the work in front of them.
