About Carrie Jones
Posts by Carrie Jones:
We often like to talk about our StrengthsFinder themes in the best possible situation. Strengths exist when you’re at your best. Anything short of that isn’t a Strength, but a Theme. Yet life isn’t that easy. Today, Carrie shares three things she has learned about Strengths as she has examined them in the “real world.”
Strengths need time to relax. They need a time and a place where you can let your proverbial “Strengths hair” down, and just let them run wild, without trying to control or focus them. Leadership Vision is offering an opportunity for you to join the 2016 Summer Institute which includes our Strengths Communicator and/or Design Lab Training. Strengths Communicator is for Strengths professionals who want to enhance their skills in order to help others understand the unique behaviors of Strengths. The Design Lab is for professionals who are practicing the delivery and integration of StrengthsFinder with groups and teams. Keep reading for more details!
Carrie was surprised, sitting in the Strengths Based Leadership training, by how much it shifted her thinking about her StrengthsFinder themes. As a result, she is now approaching leadership by considering the perspective and Strengths of others, instead of trying to make others adapt to her own. The self-reflection exercises helped her acknowledge areas for growth, and areas of great strength.
