Last week we shared our mid-year reflection check-in, a series of questions to help you zoom in on how the first part of the year has gone and zoom out to look forward in order to create the best possible end of the year. In this episode, Brian, Linda, and I share our own mid-year reflections. We handpicked a few of our check-in questions as examples and also to share a little bit of insight into what Leadership Vision is working on as we look into the first half of this year and then look forward to the second half. Enjoy!
We hope you’re enjoying a fantastic week as we approach the Fourth of July holiday here in the united states. Like many of you, our team is taking some time off, so we thought we’d again share our mid-year reflection episode as we move into the second half of 2023.
This mid-year break or interruption in our regular routines, is an opportunity to reflect on how the year has gone thus far and plan for how we’d like the remainder of the year to unfold. So, whether you’re grilling, spending time with family, or simply taking a moment to yourself, let’s dive into some reflection questions that can help guide your assessment and shape your future endeavors.
In this episode, we share a somewhat candid conversation about the challenge of recognizing personal needs and the connection between self-leadership and leading others. Throughout our discussion, Brian and I share personal anecdotes and observations about our struggles to name and prioritize individual needs. We also highlight the significance of understanding and addressing our own needs as a fundamental aspect of self-leadership and compassionate leadership towards others. Listen and reflect as we unpack these perspectives and provide some practical suggestions for recognizing and prioritizing your own needs as a leader. Enjoy!
This episode is a bit of a look back to look forward. In 2023, Leadership Vision will be shifting and getting more clear about what we do, what we offer to our clients, and how we help people understand and express their beauty and brilliance. We had a whole episode mapped out about our new direction when we realized that we should pause and take a moment to reflect on how we got to this point. In doing that, we came up with three questions for you to consider as you think about your contributions to your team. The first question is what stands out about this past year. How have you grown in the past year, and what contributions have you made?
It’s the end of the year 2022, and as Brian, Linda, and I were reflecting on what we wanted to discuss for our last episode of the year, we hit record and it led to this wonderful conversation. The theme of this episode is the idea of authentic connection, purposeful connection, and understanding the why behind what we’re doing.
This isn’t a scripted episode about the top three things to do with Strengths on your team. It’s more of a conversation about pausing. So here it is, our final episode of the year. We hope you have a great holiday season and will see you in the new year. Cheers!
